Graduate program

Duke Economics offers four distinct master’s programs, each made to offer pupils the quantitative and analytical skills they need when preparing for doctoral programs and jobs in economics, finance, and relevant fields.

The Reason Why Duke Economics?

Thorough Quantitative Coursework

Our programs just take a highly quantitative method of economic theory, which helps to offer advanced analytical skills needed for future economics-related jobs in academia, analysis, and community and exclusive areas. An extensive volume of all classes available in our division can be viewed when you look at the Registrar’s program Catalog.

Flexible Curriculum with an Interdisciplinary Approach

Students within programs can customize their particular curriculum centered on their own scholastic experiences and research interests. They have the opportunity to just take courses in other divisions and schools — eg Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistical Science, the Fuqua class of Business, regulations class, together with Nicholas School of the Environment — plus collaborate with pupils and professors over the social sciences.

Analysis Opportunities

Duke University is recognized as among top analysis establishments and regularly ranks within the top of all of the U.S. universities in research expenses. There are many research possibilities by which our pupils may engage, both within Economics including at other departments, schools, and on-campus analysis institutes.
